Hmm...Where to start?

My name's Heidi. I'm a stay-at-home mom to a wonderful little 1 year old, Ethan, who I affectionately call "Bubba". I've been married to the hubby, George, for 3 years now. This blog is going to be a mesh of all my interests: couponing, cooking, crafting, and hopefully sewing (once I get up the nerve and equipment to start!). I'm striving to become a Proverbs 31 woman and hope that you'll join me on the way!

Now that the intro is out of the way, I thought, why not jump right into some cheap, easy crafts I've done?

I bought a cheap black frame, layed it flat, took the back off, and then carefully placed the dried flowers (from a bouquet he had bought me when we were dating...awww!) along the edge. I printed off a collage of our faces I had made on the computer onto clear transparency paper...this kind of made them 3-D looking...which was actually pretty cool! I wish you could see the special effect in the picture. I then simply wrote our song lyrics in pencil on a piece of paper and put that in the very back. (Yes, they are the lyrics to "Grow Old With You" by Adam Sandler from the movie Wedding Singer...don't judge!) Re-attach the back and voila....you have an easy sentimental gift!

Another quick one:

Again, bought a cheap frame, printed out a picture of us on regular paper. I know you can't read it, but I wrote all the little things I love about my husband around the picture. For example, I wrote that I love that he holds my hand in public and drives on long car trips while I sleep. I even included silly things like the fact that he "courtesy flushes"....yes, that's important!

Anywho, hopefully I've given someone out there some inspiration to do something similar themselves! I'll be sure to check back soon! =)
